About the Health Buddy System from Bosch
The Health Buddy System serves as the interface between patients at home and care providers, facilitating communication of historical patient data of and self-management support for patients with chronic conditions. The System includes telemedical technologies, clinical information databases, Internet-enabled decision support tools, health management programs and content development tools. Through increased communication, behavior modification, and prevention, the Health Buddy System improves the quality of patient care. The System is protected by 57 issued US patents.
Originally developed in California by Health Hero Network, the Health Buddy System was acquired by the Bosch Group in December 2007. The Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services with worldwide sales of 45.1 billion euros (approximately $59.7 billion) in fiscal 2008.
